Yes, I ventured out to the stores yesterday. Got up at 4 am and was at the first store by 5:30. And really it wasn’t bad. It was much busier than normal, but just like a normal day at mall in the Twin Cities. I was in and out of Target in less than 1/2 an hour. 8 stores later, it was 11:30 and I was on my way home. I was at the mall for a little bit.
Came home and promptly slept for 3 1/2 hours! Then I neatly set out everything as above. With post-its of original price and sale price, for effect. :) We’re now in the process of deciding what actually needs to stay. I got a little sale-happy! I mean, a $140 queen-sized down comforter for only $19.99??? It can’t be passed up!

With the constant changing of Adam’s work schedule for Thanksgiving, I never planned a meal. We had planned to go see a movie and eat a bunch of popcorn.
He ended up having the entire day off and I started to feel bad about not having a big turkey dinner ready. We ended up going to Village Inn for a turkey feast before the movie. It was actually pretty good.
But I still felt bad. So yesterday I pulled out a turkey and stuffing casserole from the freezer, mixed up a green bean casserole and whipped up a pumpkin pie, with homemade whipped cream. Oh, and I made biscuits.
It was nice, low key “Thanksgiving.”

Everything needs to stay! We ventured out a bit later on Black Friday but still got an awesome deal on a treadmill and toys for the kiddos.
