That's all...

for now.

Let's see, what else.

Been very busy this week with a BIG project, but again, the recipients have no clue, so can't post about that yet.  Have been baking a lot today for youth group on Wednesday. Last week the high school boys snarffed down my bars, so I made more this week.  Found these recipes from other blogs.  Blogs are wonderful things.

S'mores bars from Sunday Baker...

Pudding cookies from Sophistimom, chocolate chip and then I added caramel chips to some as well...

Decided that spending money on a new couch just isn't feasible now. So to cover up the wearing, stained, ivory fabric, we got a slipcover.  And you'll never guess who picked it out...my husband!  He said he'd never buy a couch in this pattern, but a slipcover is okay.  Works for me.  And it was on clearance for $40 at Target. Score.

That's all I have pictures for!

Life otherwise is still moving along.  Dishes seem to be overtaking us lately.  Neither of us can figure out why.  My baking and projects (and working 40+ and getting tired) has led to lots of messes on my part.  Need to take care of that soon.  Adam only has so much patience.  Hopefully I'll be done with afternoon Y-Care in the next couple days and then I can be more rested and get more done.

Tomorrow is work, a trip to the post office to mail out those mystery packages.  Then more work.  Then youth group.  Thursday is a "mixer" of sorts at church for people who are not yet part of a small group.  Should be interesting.  Saturday we're making a day trip to Mishicot to see Adam's parents and Mel's going so she'll run off some steam (has decided that she needs to bark incessantly at EVERYTHING!!!).  Then Sunday is our first time teaching Sunday school, 1st graders.  Will be interesting to watch Adam interact with the little ones.  Will have to try to keep myself in check and not take over.

ENOUGH! Time for bed.  Well, I've provided lots of reading material for you.  Won't hopefully ever post this much in one night again!

congrats on teaching 1st grade sunday school! i taught lst grade SS for a few years - i loved it! those little kiddos are great! they DO like be involved ...so when we did Joshua and the battle i got the cardboard blocks from the kindergarten class - we took them outside - made our own "wall"...we marched around once blew our horns! - then went and camped over night (pretend!)did this 7 times - and finally that wall fell down!!! when we talked about Jesus on the boat in the storm i used tape on the floor to make an outline of a boat -and boy that boat could rock! they love things like that..i hope that you will let us know how your class went...
